Star receiver announces his Top 10 schools

As most football fans were aware on Tuesday, Christmas came with an unexpected gift as five-star receiver Julian Fleming announced his Top 10 colleges.
Chief among them: Penn State and Ohio State.
But with other colleges like Alabama, Georgia and LSU on the list, they’re certainly worth mentioning too.
Yet, how close is it, really?
Fleming hasn’t taken any of his official visits yet where the school covers the cost. So right now his visits — Penn State, Ohio State and others — have been unofficial and comes at the cost of his family.
Anyone following Fleming and his recruitment can do the math and see that his visits to Penn State far outnumber the others, including rival Buckeyes.
I wouldn’t count the Buckeyes out, though; they’re very much in the conversation. Fleming’s recent posts about Ohio State garnered “likes” and views that number in the thousands.
But if one thing is for certain: a lot can happen in the course of a year. Coaches change schools, players transfer and all of a sudden the landscape of schools can shift dramatically.
It already happened with the Buckeyes, a perennial Big10 front-runner, as Urban Meyer announced he would be stepping down at the end of the season.
Still, the news didn’t seem to phase Fleming when he spoke on a Fourth Quarter podcast a few weeks ago.
Penn State fans still have plenty to be optimistic about as close family friends have said that the Nittany Lions are still the favorite to land Fleming. But they also said that we’ll have to wait till his senior football season before we hear Fleming’s decision as he still plans to take his official visits with the schools on his Top 10.
